Sinan Ogan: Unless Armenia withdraws its forces from Azerbaijan, we will not allow the parliament to pass a decision on opening of the border

“Unless Armenia withdraws its forces from Azerbaijan, gives up claims against Turkey, we will not allow opening of this country’s border with Turkey,” Turkish parliamentarian from the National Movement Party (MHP) Sinan Ogan told journalists in Baku, APA reports.

Mentioning recent media reports about the opening of the border, Turkish parliamentarian said some forces attempt to bring to agenda the opening of the borders again.

“I assure you that the borders will be opened, when Armenia withdraws its forces from the occupied Azerbaijani territories, gives up its groundless claims against Turkey. Otherwise, we will not allow the Turkish parliament to pass a decision on opening of borders,” he said.

Sinan Ogan said he will defend the rights of about 3 million Azerbaijanis living in Turkey.

He also said he will do his best for the enhancement of Turkey-Azerbaijan relations, interparliamentary relations. Member of the Turkish parliament underlined that they will discuss Azerbaijan, Karabakh at the meetings that will be held with the parliamentarians of other countries.

Sinan Ogan of Azerbaijani origin has come to Baku to attend the Third Congress of the World Azerbaijanis.
