“We have discussed the possibility of works and projects in the agricultural sphere at the meeting with the head of City Executive Power Tofig Ibrahimov”, the UK ambassador to Azerbaijan Carolyn Brown, who is on official visit to Lankaran, told journalists.
She said that the future development prospects of the region were discussed at the meeting with the head of executive power: “The drug issues in this region create serious problems. We have included the issues on Islamic fundamentalism in the agenda at the meeting with head of executive power”.
According to Mrs. Brown, the British entrepreneurs are always interested to invest capital in Azerbaijan, that’s why the productive conditions and healthy competition must be established in the country for entrepreneurs: “If there are productive conditions for entrepreneurs, they can come and invest capital here with a pleasure. I think that the capital investment here in agricultural sphere can be more interesting for British entrepreneurs”.
Saying that her ambassador mission in Azerbaijan will finish on august 17 this year, Brown said that she had rich impressions on Azerbaijan: “Azerbaijan can achieve more success. Azerbaijan must be closer to Europe and more secure. My country wants it”.
