Azerbaijan`s President congratulates UN Secretary General on re-election

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory message to Ban Ki-moon who was re-elected as Secretary General of the United Nations.

“We place a tremendous importance on the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Nations,” the Azerbaijani leader said in his message.

The President said his country supported the organization`s fight against the global challenges and threats facing the world community.

President Aliyev expressed confidence in the continuation of the joint work and efforts to fulfill the tasks aimed at establishing peace, security and stability and ensuring people`s rights and freedoms in the world.
