EU delegation meets with IDPs in Azerbaijan

European Union delegation on migration visited the hostels settled by the internally displaced persons in Darnagul district of Baku, Azerbaijan. According to APA, the delegation took interest in the life conditions of the IDPs. Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Roland Kobia said his organization approached the IDP problems in Azerbaijan sensitively. He told journalists that he have learned the IDP problems, their life conditions before.

Kobia said the main purpose of this visit is to learn life conditions of IDPs closely. He said EU delegation also purposed to discuss the visa facilitation issue between Azerbaijan and EU. "We have optimist view of these negotiations. We are ready to start the negotiations soon".

EU experts, representatives of Hungary, which is taking the EU Presidency now, officials of the European Commission are in the EU delegation visited Azerbaijan.
