Roundtable on "Azerbaijan-Italy relations" held in Rome

Chairman of International and Interparliamentary Relations Committee of Azerbaijani Parliament Samad Seyidov and chairman of the working group on Azerbaijan-Italy interparliamentary relations Azer Karimli visited Italy, Azerbaijan’s embassy in Italy said.

The Azerbaijani delegation invited by head of the Italian Senate’s standing commission on EU policy, head of Italy-Azerbaijan friendship group Rossana Boldi held meetings with deputy chairman of the standing commission on foreign policy of the Italian Senate Alberto Filippi and chairman of the standing commission on foreign policy Stefano Stefani. The sides exchanged views on the prospects of the relations between the parliaments of the two countries.

Members of the Azerbaijani parliament also attended the roundtable on the theme "Azerbaijan-Italy relations" held at the Senate on the initiative of the Senate’s standing commission on EU policy and with the support of the Azerbaijani embassy in Italy. Members of the Italian Senate and Chamber of Deputies, representatives of Italian research centers and media also attended the event.

The roundtable was chaired by Samad Seyidov and Rossana Boldi. Azerbaijani ambassador to Italy Vagif Sadigov, rapporteurs from Italy’s Foreign Ministry, Economic Development Ministry, Rome-based International Relations Institute exchanged views on the present state and prospects of Azerbaijan-Italy relations.
