Azerbaijan's ruling party satisfied with AKP's victory

15 June 2011 [15:31] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijan's ruling party was satisfied that the Justice and Development Party (AKP) remained in power in Turkey, the deputy chairman of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), executive secretary Ali Ahmedov said in an interview with reporters.

Mentioning the warm attitude of the AKP towards Azerbaijan, Ahmedov said that especially Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan approaches Azerbaijan enough warmly.

"He conducts quite productive activities to demonstrate a clear position of the Turkish state on the Nagorno-Karabakh problem. I believe that AKP's remaining in power again will lead to further expansion of activities of the Turkish government and society in this regard," said executive secretary.

Fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are the basis for the formation and continuation of working relations between the two governments, said Ahmedov.

"We will continue to witness the working relationship between both governments," said the functionary of NAP.
