13 June 2011 [21:18] - TODAY.AZ
Work is conducted at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly on adoption of a document regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, a member of Azerbaijani delegation to NATO PA, MP Malahat Ibrahimgizi said.

"At the end of November 2010 at the Lisbon summit, NATO expressed its position on support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. We try that NATO PA would consider this issue and adopt a document. Work is already conducted on this document," said Ibrahimgizi.

She said all plenary sessions and committee meetings of the NATO PA indirectly discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. "The discussions over the situation in Georgia and the NATO-Russia relations on conflict resolution in South Caucasus also covered the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, because this problem affects all events occurring around the South Caucasus," she said.

She said the documents adopted in all international organizations reflect the occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia. Azerbaijan is an associate member of NATO, cooperates with NATO on a bilateral basis, and the attempts to achieve expression of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly position on this issue are the right of Azerbaijan.
