Swedish Foreign Minister to visit Southern Caucasus

Foreign Minister of Sweden Carl Bildt will tour the Southern Caucasus region from Sunday 12 June until Wednesday 15 June, Ministry's press-statement says.

He will visit Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia to get an update of the political situation in the region and for bilateral talks with the countries' foreign ministers.

Mr. Bildt will be available to the media on various occasions during the tour.

According to the preliminary information, the visit will start in Baku late Sunday, Ministry's press-service told Trend. Then Mr. Bildt will go to Tbilisi and finish the Southern Caucasus tour in Yerevan.

Initially the visit was scheduled on late March, but was postponed due to unexpected circumstances in Libya.
