Azerbaijani ruling party voices position on parliamentary elections in Turkey

The Azerbaijani ruling party voiced its position on the upcoming parliamentary elections in Turkey.

"Turkey is a brotherly country for Azerbaijan," Ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary Ali Ahmedov. "The party, which the Turkish people will choose, will be acceptable for the Azerbaijani people and for the NAP."

The NAP has a good relationship with the Justice and Development Party (AKP), Ahmedov said.

"We regularly organize meetings at various levels, conduct discussions and exchange of views. Economic and political development is observed in Turkey under the leadership of the AKP in recent years," he said.

Turkey will hold the parliamentary elections on June 12.
