Azerbaijan offers to hold postponed exercise with NATO in August

Azerbaijan offered to hold the postponed Regional Response-2011 exercise with NATO in August, sources in NATO said.

The exercise had been earlier postponed for technical reasons sourced from Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani Defense Ministry had offered to postpone the exercise and the opposite side had agreed to it. Holding the exercise in August depends on the work schedule of relevant NATO structures.

According to the source, if the exercise is not held in August, it will be held at any possible date by the end of the year.

The Azerbaijani side offered to rename the exercise because of the rescheduling.
