Azerbaijan refutes Armenian Defense Ministry's report on civilian's wounding

12 May 2011 [14:20] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijan refuted the Armenian Defense Ministry’s report, claiming the wounding of a civilian along the contact line between the Armenian and Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

No ceasefire violation was recorded in the southeastern direction of the contact line on the day indicated by the Armenian Defense Ministry. The Azerbaijani side has not returned fire, Azerbaijani Defense Ministry Deputy Spokesman Teymur Abdullayev said.

A 33-year-old resident of the Hadrut region’s Kuratag village Araik Balasanyan was shot in his head in the southeastern direction of the contact line when working with a tractor at 6:05 pm on May 11, Armenian media outlets quoted the country’s Defense Ministry as reporting.
