Azerbaijani and Latvian first ladies visited the Museum of Modern Art and viewed Pearls of art exhibition - UPDATE - PHOTOS

Azerbaijan's First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva and First Lady of Latvia Lilita Zatlere yesterday visited the Museum of Modern Art and viewed Pearls of art exhibition here.

Mrs. Zatlere was told the museum was established on the initiative of the Azerbaijani first lady. She was informed the museum featured some 1000 avant-garde works and sculptures by Azerbaijani artists.

The Latvian first lady viewed works by outstanding Azerbaijani artists, including Sattar Bahlulzade, Boyukagha Mirzazade, Elmira Shahtakhtinskaya, Tahir Salahov, Omar Eldarov and Nadir Abdurrahmanov.

The first ladies of Azerbaijan and Latvia also viewed Pearls of Art exhibition featuring historical art collection and works of Honored Artist Aliyar Alimirzayev.
