
An evening of classical music has been organized in Brussels by the Azerbaijani Embassy in the Kingdom of Belgium and Representation to NATO on the occasion of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s 88th anniversary, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Belgium said.
Greeting the guests, the Azerbaijani ambassador to Belgium Emin Eyyubov talked about National Leader Aliyev’s life, political path and merits.
Remarking on our people’s mass celebration of the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s independence this year, Eyyubov talked about Heydar Aliyev’s important role in building and reinforcing our statehood and stressed that his far-reaching statehood policy is today successfully continued by the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Later the guests heard the Azerbaijani and Western composers’ works performed by the violinist, European Cultural Parliament member Sabina Rakcheyeva and Australian pianist Fred Zang. The event was attended by Belgian public members, MPs, ambassadors and representatives of foreign countries, as well as representatives of Azerbaijan and Turkish societies.
