National leader Heydar Aliyev's anniversary marked in Indonesia

Azerbaijan's embassy to Indonesia has organized an event to mark the 88th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev and launch "Azerbaijan Album" book.

Speaking to the event, Ambassador Ibrahim Hajiyev praised the national leader's role in building and developing the modern Azerbaijan state.

The ambassador also highlighted President Ilham Aliyev's policy, saying he was successfully continuing the course of the national leader.

"Thanks to President Ilham Aliyev's successful activity Azerbaijan became a regional leader, strengthened its international image and cemented its position in the projects of international importance."

Hajiyev also touched upon Armenia's military aggression against Azerbaijan. "Armenia occupied the Nagorno-Karabakh and seven adjacent regions, which resulted in over million Azerbaijanis' becoming refugees and IDPs," he added.

The Ambassador thanked the Indonesian government for supporting Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. The event was attended by media representatives, including from state agency ANTARA.
