Parliamentarians made a number of proposals during the discussion of the current issues in today’s sitting. MP Ali Masimli said the expected increase of pension and salary may cause inflation. The parliamentarian said the prices in the markets are increased soon after pension and salaries are raised.

"If the salary is increased by 20 percent, the price of the goods will also be raised. In order to struggle against it, strengthen fight against unjust competition the parliament should join this process. Unjust artificial increase of prices should be regarded as a kind of organized crimes and those who allow this should be punished. It is impossible to prevent the artificial increase of prices in other way," he said.

MP Zahid Oruj spoke about the killing of Osama bin Laden. He said those who carried out that operation should take similar steps against Armenian terrorists.

MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev spoke about the rules of student admission.
"Though our Constitution envisages permanence of the normative documents, they are often changed. Some changes have been made in the student admission rules. Every time chairperson of SSAC Maleyka Abbaszadeh says that teaching has not been organized well at secondary schools. Therefore, test questions are made more difficult from year to year. Secondary education is free in Azerbaijan, but let’s check how many pupils enter higher schools without tutors.

The secondary schools attend the tutors’ lessons, but they can not answer the questions in entrance examinations because they learn subjects on which they have to take exams. The Ministry of Education should determine test questions for the secondary schools. We have to think about the poor families because they can not pay for tutors’ lessons".

MP Azay Guliyev spoke about the education issues and said that the lessons are very complicated in the secondary schools and the parents express protest against it. He said NGO and other institutions conducted monitoring of this problem and identified that it is not coinciding with current curriculum.

Speaker Ogtay Asadov also joined the discussions: "We rejected the soviet education system completely, but it had very positive points. We need to consider these issues in the new draft laws".
