Ambassador: Azerbaijan, Latvia will consider prospects of economic cooperation

The governments of Azerbaijan  and Latvia will consider prospects for economic cooperation.

The fourth meeting of the Azerbaijani-Latvian intergovernmental commission on economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation will discuss this topic in Riga on May 11-13, Latvian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hardijs Baumanis said.

The meeting will focus on developing cooperation between the two countries on specific projects, as well as opportunities for expansion of ties to increase the volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Latvia.

Based on the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee’s data, the volume of trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $4 million in January-February 2011.
