GUAM Youth Forum started in Tbilisi

A three-day youth forum of the GUAM countries has started in Tbilisi.

Addressing the forum, first deputy minister of sports and youth of Georgia Georgy Avaliani, GUAM secretary-general Valery Chechelashvili, chairman of the Georgian Youth Organization Irakly Kasradze and others said that new projects will be put forward during the forum and the youth will discuss the issues of cooperation. The GUAM’s active participation in the European Union’s program will also in the focus of attention.

GUAM secretary-general Valery Chechelashvili told journalists that this forum is very important and previous one was held in Baku last July. "We gather annually. It is very important for the young people. One of the main duties of our organization is to create opportunities for the youth to use own potential and skills. This is a sign of good cooperation between the GUAM countries. The young people are visiting each other, exchanging new ideas and developing cooperation on various projects".

President of the GUAM Youth Forum on Azerbaijan Ilgar Mustafayev, senior adviser of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Ramil Mammadov and other Azerbaijani officials attend the forum.
