
The US ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza’s visit to Azerbaijani regions continues.
The visit is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of U.S. Peace Corps. American diplomat firstly paid visit to Ismayilli. Like a number of Azerbaijani regions the Peace Corps volunteers act in Ismayilli as well. According to Meredith Dalton - the Director of the Peace Corps in Azerbaijan, the volunteers are engaged in the province in the cultural and humanitarian exchanges between two people, as well as they support the social and technical development.
Having got acquainted with Peace Corps activity, Matthew Bryza said that the humanitarian relations are one of the main factors to ensure the strong interstate relations and sustainability. The US ambassador, who met Peace Corps members and the residents in Ismayilli and Oguz stressed the importance of cooperation in the field of education and culture for Azerbaijan-US relations.
