President Ilham Aliyev receives foreign officials - UPDATE - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev yesterday received Commander of the Turkish Land Forces, General Erdal Ceylanoglu.

The President said high-level relations exist between Azerbaijan and Turkey in all directions.

The Head of State expressed satisfaction with establishment of good military cooperation between the two countries.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence Ceylanoglu would have fruitful discussions in Azerbaijan during the visit.

The Head of State expressed hope Ceylanoglu's visit to Azerbaijan would be successful and contribute to development of Azerbaijan-Turkey relationship even more.

Erdal Ceylanoglu, in turn, said cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey were developing successfully in various spheres, including military.

He expressed assurance that these relations would continue to expand.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received former Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, CEO of VAE Controls Group Mirek Topolanek.

Topolanek said he had eye-witnessed big development in Baku.

The former Prime Minister of Czechia underlined the construction works in Baku made deep impression on him.

They recalled a meeting held between President Ilham Aliyev and CEO of VAE Controls Group Mirek Topolanek during "Southern Corridor - New Silk Road" summit in Prague.
The importance of the Head of State`s participation at the summit was stressed.

During the meeting, the parties discussed business relations between Azerbaijan and Czechia.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received today credentials of newly appointed Ambassador of Ukraine Alexander Mishenko.

The Head of State had a conversation with the Ambassador.

The President praised development of Azerbaijan-Ukraine relations. Ilham Aliyev said Presidents of the two countries enjoy close ties.

The President said Azerbaijan and Ukraine had wider opportunities to further develop friendship and partnership relations.

Reminding his last visit to Kiev, President Ilham Aliyev highlighted the importance of the reciprocal visits by the heads of states.

The Head of State said Azerbaijanis experience high respect to the Ukrainian state and people. The Head of State expressed hope Azerbaijan-Ukraine relationship would further develop during the Ambassador's tenure.

The Ukrainian diplomat said he would spare no efforts to contribute to further strengthening the bilateral relationship.
