"Of course, the Libya incidents worry Azerbaijan the same as the entire world. We wish for these efforts to offer opportunities in order to finish the civil war and to restore the peace and tranquility in this country", deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov said.
According to him, the world community makes efforts in order to put an end to the war in Libya: "But there are double standards in the world and we feel it on us. Though the UN Council of Security adopted 4 resolutions on the Karabakh conflict, they have not been fulfilled and no efforts are made for the fulfillment of these resolutions. Though the UN Council of Security passed relevant resolutions when Iraq aggressed to Kuwait and they were immediately fulfilled".
Khalafov said that Azerbaijan still has the diplomatic relations with Libya: "The embassy continues its work. But we would like the civil war to end".
