Head of European Union Delegation to Azerbaijan invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

on Tuesday, Head of the European Union Delegation to Azerbaijan, Ambassador Roland Kobia was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani government expressed its dissatisfaction and regret over the European Union's statement on the situation of fundamental freedoms in Azerbaijan made at the OSCE Permanent Council's meeting on April 7, 2011, press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

It was noted the statement is based on partial and wrong information, and is prejudiced as it does not reflect real situation at the local level. This statement runs counter to the spirit of Azerbaijan-EU relations and is unacceptable.
