Azerbaijan is moving forward shoulder to shoulder with the Muslim countries, Jordanian Industry and Trade Minister Hani Mulki told journalists before the Jordanian-Azerbaijani business forum in Baku on Tuesday.
"This will be the second meeting of the intergovernmental commission. The first was held in Amman in 2009," he said.
Mulki said today's meeting will consider the results of the intergovernmental commission’s first session. The meeting will also discuss the current level and prospects of the Jordan-Azerbaijan cooperation in various fields.
Mulki said he has already attended the opening of a forum that brought together both countries’ business people operating in the construction industry.
"We can appraise this forum as one of the first meeting results," he added.
A trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Jordan was $2.473 million in 2010, 99.2 percent ($2.453 million) of which fell to the import operation.
