Azerbaijan's President got acquainted with improvement woks underway in Baku districts - UPDATE- PHOTOS

Today, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited several settlements over on-site inspection of what have been done thus far to implement instructions that the Head of State gave with respect to socio-economic development of suburban settlements of Azerbaijan's capital.

First, President Aliyev attended the inauguration of the new additional highway connecting Bulbule village to the Heydar Aliyev Avenue. Head of Baku City Executive Power Office Hajibala Abutalybov informed the Head of State about the work done. The President was told 4950 square meters of the highway got a new asphalt cover.

The highway's around was improved with green areas and more than 200 trees and decorative bushes. A modern lightning system was installed on the highway, as well.

In general, 36,5 thousand square meters of the roads in various villages and settlements in Surakhani district in Baku got a new asphalt cover. Here, president met with local residents.

Then, President Aliyev arrived in Bilajari settlement of Binagadi District. Baku Mayor Hajibala Abutalybov briefed the Head of State on the inter-settlement streets which need getting asphalt cover. Ilham Aliyev was told 10 thousand 500 square meters of inter-settlement roads were covered with new asphalt.

The Head of State met with residents. They thanked the President for the work done. Then, President Ilham Aliyev familiarized himself with the situation in the park of Railway Workers in Bilajari settlement.

The Head of State gave relevant instructions on creation of modern infrastructure in the park.

The same day, President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Sulutapa settlement of Binagadi District. Head of Baku City Executive Power Office Hajibala Abutalybov informed the Head of State about the work done here. The President was told 5600 square meters of inter-settlement roads got new asphalt cover. Preparatory works have already been completed to cover 7 thousand square meters of the roads with asphalt.

The Head of State was told that water and sewerage-related problems would be solved in the settlement. A modern lighting system will be installed in the settlement, as well. President Ilham Aliyev met with residents.
