Azerbaijani parliamentarians to attend spring session of PACE

The spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will start in Strasbourg on April 11.

According to the Azerbaijani parliament’s press service, chairman of the parliament’s international and interparliamentary relations committee, head of the parliament’s standing delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov, parliamentarians Rovshan Rzayev, Sevinj Fataliyeva, Rafael Huseynov, Aydin Abbasov, Sabir Hajiyev, Sahiba Gafarova, Ganira Pashayeva and Elkhan Suleymanov will leave for France to attend the session.

Influence of the EU Eastern Partnership program on economic development, religious criteria in the intercultural dialogue, combating poverty, improvement of the mechanism on preventing torture, diabetes and obesity of children and youth, protection of the rights of migrant women, combating violence against children will be discussed during the session.

The Azerbaijani parliamentarians will attend the meetings of the committees and express their views on the discussed issues.
