
A conference on the topic "NATO, combating international terrorism in Afghanistan and security in Central Asian region after September 11" will be held in Ankara, Turkey on April 7-10 with the support of the NATO programme "Science for Peace and Security". The event will be a joint initiative of the Technical University of Orta Dogu and the Kyrgyz University of Manas.
A fellow at the Presidential Center for Strategic Studies, Zaur Shiriyev will represent Azerbaijan at the conference. He will deliver a report titled "Azerbaijan’s view on security in the Caspian Sea Basin after the U.S. intervention in Afghanistan", the center’s press release says.
Views will be exchanged at the event by authoritative security experts from Turkey, European countries and Central Asia. The reports given by the speakers will be compiled and published as a book.
