
Visiting President of Greece Karolos Papoulias met with Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade on Tuesday.
The President expressed confidence that his Baku visit would give a fillip to development of bilateral relations. According to him, the meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was effective and a number of important documents were signed between the two states.
He pointed out there is enormous potential for development of bilateral relationship.
The Prime Minister, for his part, said he considers the Hellenic Republic a "friend" to Azerbaijan. He noted relations between the two nations are rapidly developing in a number of fields. Rasizadeh noted the present visit would give a kick-start to bilateral relations.
