Book "Victims of genocide committed by Armenians - Baganis Ayrim" published in Turkish

The book entitled "Victims of the genocide committed by Armenians - Baganis Ayrim", written by Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva and editor-in-chief of "Şərq" (East) newspaper, Akif Ashirli, was published in Turkish.

The book tells about the genocide committed by Armenian armed forces on the night of March 23-24, 1990 in the village of Baganis Ayrim in Gazakh region.

The book was published in 2010 in English and distributed in several foreign countries.

The book, published in Turkish, will be presented in several Turkish cities in the nearest future. The c opies of books will be distributed to NGOs, libraries of this country. They will be presented to MPs and public figures of Turkey.

On March 24, 1990, Armenian fighters, using military equipment, modern weapons belonging to Soviet troops, attacked Baganis Ayrim village, killed civilians, subjecting them to unspeakable torture.

About 17 homes were destroyed by mortar fire, 11 houses were looted.

Five members of the Asliyevs who lived in the village were tortured and burned alive. A villager Almammad Maharramov was burned alive. A 75 -year-old Dedesh Asliyev was the oldest among those killed in the village. The Baganis Ayrim was captured and burned by the Armenian armed forces on Aug. 20, 1990.

Pashayeva said that the book also presents testimonies of those who witnessed the genocide in Baganis Ayrim, and individuals whose relatives were killed during the tragedy.

Main consultant of the book is the Military Prosecutor of the Republic of Azerbaijan Khanlar Veliyev.

"We want to tell the world the truth about the genocide committed in Baganis Ayrim with this book. Sometimes it seems the Armenian armed forces committed genocide only in Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding areas. But the Armenian armed forces occupied seven villages of the Gazakh region. This book provides specific photographs showing the vandalism of the Armenians and revealing the names of some of the criminals ."
