Azerbaijani MP attends Novruz festivities in Georgia

An Azerbaijani MP took part in the festivities on Novruz in Georgia.

The head of the Azerbaijani-Georgian Inter-Parliamentary friendship group, MP Ganira Pashayeva, took part in the festivities in the village of Fahrali of in the Bolnisi district in Georgia .

The village is densely populated by Azerbaijanis. She congratulated the villagers on Novruz and wished them prosperity. The schoolchildren and honored Azerbaijani artist Tunzala Agayeva performed with a concert program. A bonfire was lit on Gezel Mountain in the evening.

"Let festive bonfires always burn on top of Gezel mountain," she said . "Let these festive bonfires burn in Nagorno-Karabakh and surrounding areas liberated from Armenian occupation next year . This is a dream of every Azerbaijani, regardless of the place of residence . This day will come soon. We think that the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and Georgia will be restored and our peoples will celebrate this together."

She said Azerbaijan takes care of its fellow citizens living in Georgia. Pashayeva also spoke about the activities undertaken in this direction.
