Caucasus Muslim Office head considers possible to meet with Armenian Catholicos

Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Office (CMO) Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazadeh considers it possible to meet with the Armenian Catholicos Karekin II this year. He said this during a meeting with Azerbaijanis of Vladikavkaz, CMO press officer Rahima Dadasheva said by telephone from Vladikavkaz.

"We, as religious leaders, have never been supporters of bloodshed and death. And therefore, we hold meetings and discussions. These meetings will take place in the future," said Pashazade.

He said much blood spilled during the Karabakh conflict.

"Today people are in captivity, a sniper bullet killed nine-year old child. This tells that the war is far from over. But the Head of the Azerbaijan State is a supporter of peaceful resolution of this issue," said Pashazade.
