Azeri MP to attend parliamentary conference in London

Azerbaijani parliamentarian Melahet Ibrahimgizi has left for London to attend a parliamentary conference on "The EU: a global player in health and development".

The UK All-Party Parliamentary Group on Population, Development and Reproductive Health is hosting the conference.

The event is being organized by the Europe Parliamentary Forum on Population and Development (EPF) in the framework of its membership in Action for Global Health.

The meeting will provide important information regarding the EU's changing approach to global health and look in more detail at the EU’s changing development policy and funding. In particular, SRHR will be given special attention in order to discuss how member states can prioritize SRHR in their development cooperation during these times of austerity. The conference will bring together 50 people from across Europe, including parliamentarians and expert speakers.
