Baku expects Armenia to abandon its non-constructive position during
the forthcoming meeting between the Azerbaijani, Armenian and Russian
presidents in Sochi, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Political
Analyst and Information Provision Department head Elnur Aslanov said.
"The Azerbaijani president’s current
policy lies in the fact that the peace talks are continuing, but there
is a certain limit. After this limit, we have to consider alternative
plans," he pointed out.
He said international organizations’ statements are not enough for Azerbaijan.
"We want international organizations to demonstrate political will and to have an influence on Armenia," Aslanov underlined.
Armenia's leadership must think about its country’s development, he noted.
"Armenia
must abandon the irrational and unconstructive position, liberate the
occupied Azerbaijani territories, and make efforts to restore stability
in the region," Aslanov said.
He pointed out, that Azerbaijan is developing day by day, "However, in parallel with this, Armenia is losing its citizens each day due to the Armenian leadership’s flawed policy. Armenian citizens leave their country."
Aslanov believes the neighboring country is increasingly worsening its situation with its policy.
"Armenia continues its aggressive policy. But after a certain time, the Armenian authorities criticizing the thesis by Levon Ter-Petrosian will be forced to accept his proposals, withdraw from the occupied Azerbaijani territories and sign a peace treaty," Aslanov underlined.
Official added, that "every azerbaijani citizen should participate in the information war".
"Foreign guests and experts are trying to get information about our country through the Internet prior to their visits. So we must be sure, when they search something about us, what they find will be nothing but true and real information,” Aslanov said.
