Azerbaijan, Slovenia discuss defense cooperation

Azerbaijan's Defense Minister Safar Abiyev has met here with his Slovenian counterpart Ljubica Jelusic.

The two discussed ways of expanding military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovenia. Abiyev raised awareness of his counterpart about military and political situation in the regions, as well as problems emerged as a result of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The Azerbaijani minister said "Armenia, impeding the peaceful resolution of the conflict, does not want to step back from its aggression policy".

"Then Azerbaijan's using of its sovereign rights will be inevitable, and this will cause a tense situation in the whole region", he underlined.

Defense ministers have signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation in the years ahead.
