Khojaly genocide's victims commemorated abroad

German-Azerbaijani Society in Drezden ALM.AZ has organized a commemorative event to mark the 19th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide. The event brought together members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora and others.

Addressing the event, chairman of the Society A. Babayev described the Khojaly tragedy the gravest crime against the Azerbaijani people and humanity.

First Secretary of Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Germany Nusrat Suleymanov told of the savageries committed by Armenians against the Azerbaijani people. The event participants saw a documentary on the tragedy.

A photo exhibition featuring the Khojaly massacre has launched in Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Iran. Ambassadors of Ukraine, Turkey, Czechia, Georgia, Kazakhstan and Poland, representatives of international organizations, officials and students saw the exhibition.

Opening the event, Ambassador Javanshir Akhundov briefed the participants on the results of the Khojaly bloodshed.

He also spoke of the works being done as part of the Justice for Khojaly campaign, initiated by General Coordinator of the Islamic Conference Youth Forum, vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Leyla Aliyeva.

The Embassy of Bulgaria has organized an event to commemorate the victims of the Khojaly tragedy.

The event, held as part of the Justice for Khojaly campaign, brought together officials, diplomats, journalists, students and others. Speaking at the event, Ambassador Emil Karimov highlighted the results of the Armenian aggressive policy against the Azerbaijani people.

Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Poland has arranged an event to honor the memory of the Khojaly genocide victims in the University of Warsaw.

The event was attended by officials of Poland`s ministries of foreign affairs, defense, members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations, diplomats, students and others.

Opening the event, Ambassador Hasan Hasanov spoke of the history of the Khojaly tragedy. Representative of the University of Warsaw David Kolbaya told of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, saying it hinders development of the region. He underlined the conflict must be settled on the basis of Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.

A photo exhibition “Cry of Khojaly” has been launched in Kyiv. The exhibition was organized by the Islamic Conference Youth Forum, Ukrainian Azerbaijani Youth Union and Congress of Azerbaijanis in Ukraine with support of the Embassy of Azerbaijan.

A commemorative event to honor the memory of victims of the Khojaly massacre took place in Kars, Turkey. Azerbaijan`s consul general in Kars Aykhan Suleymanov briefed the participants on the history of the genocide.

He described the Khojaly tragedy as the gravest crime against the humanity.
The event participants saw a documentary on the massacre.

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Hungary has organized an event to commemorate the Khojaly tragedy victims. Employees of the Embassy and Azerbaijani students briefed local residents on the streets on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Khojaly tragedy and other savageries committed by Armenians against the Azerbaijani people.

Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Italy has arranged a commemorative event to mark the Khojaly genocide`s anniversary. The event brought together the Embassy`s employees, Azerbaijanis living in Italy and others. The event participants were briefed on the history of the tragedy.

They also saw a documentary on the genocide.
