Khojaly genocide discussed in Mexico

A conference “Never let genocide happen again” has been held on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide at the Memory and Tolerance Museum in Mexico. The event was held as part of the Justice for Khojaly international campaign.

Speaking at the "Justice for Khojaly" event, international campaign coordinator for Mexico Ximena Holguin provided an insight into the campaign in order to educate the international community about the Khojaly massacre.

In his speech Azeri Ambassador Mukhtarov lingered around the history of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, ethnic cleansing and deportations the people of Azerbaijan have suffered for the past two centuries.

The conference also featured a documentary narrating on the Khojaly genocide as well as exhibition of photographs depicting what the Justice for Khojaly campaign has done so far.

The participants signed a petition to world leaders.
