Defense Ministry: Reports claiming Azerbaijani has suffered great losses are false

Armenian media reports claiming that Azerbaijan has suffered great losses as a result of the ceasefire violations in the occupied territories are untrue, Azerbaijani Deputy Defense Ministry Spokesman Teymur Abdullayev said.

Azerbaijani officer Shamil Sadigov was wounded as a result of aceasefire violation by the Armenian armed forces yesterday. The fire was suppressed by a return fire, Abdullayev said.

The Azerbaijani side has not losses, he added.

The incident occurred outside the Chileburt village of the Tartar region on Jan.20. The Armenian armed forces shot 25-year-old Sadigov in the legs. He is in stable condition. Armenian media, in turn, argue about the alleged great losses from the Azerbaijani side.
