Armenians create tensions on the frontline, OSCE prepares to take measures - UPDATE

23 December 2010 [15:47] - TODAY.AZ
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has appealed to OSCE Chairman-in-Office Personal Representative Andrzej Kasprzyk with a request to make efforts in the investigation of a violation of the ceasefire on the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops, the ministry reported.

The enemy launched artillery shell at 21:30 on Dec.17 and it created tensions on the front line. The investigations revealed that a 122-millimeter rocket high-explosive shell fell near the Borsunlu settlement controlled by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

Sabiroglu said today Kasprzyk has sent one of his field assistants residing in Tbilisi to the scene to examine the area where the high-explosive shell fell. Kasprzyk's field assistant Antal Herdich got familiarized with the incident and was informed about the irrefutable facts that the high-explosive shell was launched by the Armenian side.

The ministry will closely follow the OSCE officials' steps to be taken after the incident that created tensions on the front line.
