Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan approves outcomes of parliamentary elections - UPDATE

On Monday the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan has decided to affirm parliamentary elections results, held on November 7.

A decision has been taken on the correspondence of the protocol of the Central Election Commission for the parliamentary elections dated Nov.22 to the 86th and 109th Articles of the Constitution and the Electoral Code and the approval of the election results at the meeting of the Constitutional Court's Plenum on special constitutional proceedings.

By the Constitutional Court's decision election results in 46 polling stations were recognized invalid. In general, the election results in all districts were approved.

The CEC approved a final protocol on the results of the elections on Nov. 22. Seventeen of 18 CEC members signed the protocol.

Azerbaijan held the parliamentary elections on Nov. 7.
