"Progress in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict only possible via Russian diplomacy"

24 November 2010 [11:23] - TODAY.AZ
Progress in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh  conflict can only be achieved if Russia plays an important role in the process, Russian Rodina magazine Chief Editor and Moscow State University Professor Yuri Borisenok said.

"Russia is the closest to the conflict sides and if some progress is outlined, then it will surely be with the involvement of Russian diplomacy," Borisenok said.

According to the professor, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is one of the most difficult conflicts in the world today, and an adequate solution has not yet been found to satisfy all of the sides of the conflict.

"The situation here is almost a stalemate, and a resolution is possible, but discussions should be held by the point method," he noted.
