"Bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany have developed in all fields"

Bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany have developed in all fields, former German Foreign Minister, honorary chairman of the Free Democratic Party Hans-Dietrich Genscher said in an interview with AzerTAc.

He praised Azerbaijan`s rapid development despite ‘being young state’.

“Azerbaijan`s large investments are the guarantee for its future,” he added.

Hans-Dietrich Genscher stressed Azerbaijan is a very important country for Germany in terms of its geo-political situation and energy resources. He underlined “thanks to the right policy of Azerbaijani leadership, the country has earned a number of partners in Europe”.

Touching upon Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, Hans-Dietrich Genscher said “Germany wants the dispute to be settled on the basis of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan”, adding international community must step up efforts for peaceful resolution of the conflict.
