Calm weather is expected in Baku on the opening day of the third summit
of Caspian states, Chief Hydrologist of the Azerbaijani Environment and
Natural Resources Ministry's National Hydrometeorology Department Asif
Verdiyev said.
He added that significant changes in the weather are not expected over the next three days.
"The weather is expected to be partly cloudy, and fog and rain is possibly expected in the evenings in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula," he
said. "Temperatures are expected to hit 16-19 during the day and 9-11
degrees at night."
According to Verdiyev, air temperature in some lowland areas in
Azerbaijan will reach 14-19 degrees during the day and 5-10 degrees at
night. Meanwhile, the air temperature will reach 12-16 degrees in
mountainous areas during the day, and 5.9 degrees at night.
Baku will host the summit of the Caspian littoral countries on Nov. 18.
A security cooperation agreement covering the Caspian Sea is expected
to be signed at the Baku summit.
