
Azerbaijani Embassy in Hungary held a meeting of diplomatic missions' members with the Azerbaijani students studying in Hungarian universities. The meeting was devoted to the Constitution Day, which is celebrated in Azerbaijan on Nov. 12, the Embassy said.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Hungary Vilayat Guliyev spoke to the guests. Congratulating all on this occasion, he spoke about the history of formation of the Azerbaijani constitutional system, whose roots go back to the period of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (1918-1920). He also spoke how the main Law of the independent Republic of Azerbaijan was adopted in 1995, which was developed under the national leader Heydar Aliyev's leadership.
The Embassy's counselor Anar Imanov in detail informed about the main provisions of the Azerbaijani Constitution, the structure of the document, rights and freedoms of citizens approved in the document. The event ended with a reception on the occasion of the momentous day.
