Azerbaijani Premier meets Iraqi Minister of Trade

Rasizade expressed assurance the Iraqi Minister's visit would contribute to boosting relations between the two countries.

The Prime Minister noted Iraq had great potential, and Azerbaijan was ready to support the country to realize it.

Rasizade praised an agreement on cooperation signed between Azerbaijan and Iraq, saying “it laid the foundations of joint accomplishments to be achieved in the future”.

He underlined the necessity of using “great opportunities for economic cooperation that the two countries have”.

For his part, Safa Al-Din Muhammad Al-Safi extended Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's greetings to Rasizade. The Minister expressed confidence that his visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to deepening bilateral relations, particularly economic cooperation.

The Minister underlined the November 7 parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan were very well organized.
