Tbilisi mayor awards founder of Georgian-Azerbaijani fund

Tbilisi Mayor Gigi Ugulava  presented the Friend of Georgian Culture Medal to Geo-Turan Georgian-Azerbaijani Cultural Relations Fund founder Arif Ibrahimov.

Ugulava noted the historical friendship between the "two brotherly peoples," Ibrahimov told Trend. He added that creating such organizations strengthens the historical ties between Georgia and Azerbaijan, and the future development of cultural relations can only be welcomed.

The Geo-Turan Fund was established during Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov's visit to Georgia in October.
