President Ilham Aliyev attends farewell ceremony for national hero Mubariz Ibrahimov and senior lieutenant Farid Ahmadov - PHOTOS

On Sunday, President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev attended a farewell ceremony for national hero Mubariz Ibrahimov and senior lieutenant Farid Ahmadov who was awarded a medal for bravery by presidential order.

Both heroically died in the battle against occupant Armenians on the frontline.

President Ilham Aliyev offered his condolences to the parents of shahids.

Information on biography and service record of shahids was provided at the ceremony. President Ilham Aliyev addressed the ceremony.

President Aliyev's orders on conferring a title of national hero on Mubariz Ibrahimov and medal for bravery on senior lieutenant Farid Ahmadov were read out at the event.

Also speaking were Mubariz Ibrahimov's father Agakerim Ibrahimov and Farid Ahmadov's mother Nargiz Ahmadova.

Heroes Mubariz Ibrahimov and Farid Ahmadov were buried in the Alley of Martyrs with a gun salute.
