A declaration was signed as a positive outcome of the trilateral meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration's Social and Political Department Head Ali Hasanov said. The document clarifies the issues of the returning of prisoners of war and dead bodies of the victims of the Nagorno-Karabakh war, he added.
He said the Azerbaijani people have been concerned about this problem, particularly the issue of returning the body of Azerbaijani National Hero Mubariz Ibrahimov, for a long time. "I think this issue also will be resolved after yesterday's declaration," Hasanov added.
Astrakhan hosted the trilateral meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia - Ilham Aliyev, Dmitry Medvedev and Serzh Sargsyan on Oct.27. The ways of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are discussed there. The parties have signed a declaration, which envisages the return of prisoners of war and takes a humanitarian nature, Medvedev said on Wednesday after the trilateral meeting.
Any format should be used and any proposals must be discussed to
resolve the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Hasanov
said.
Azerbaijani Armed Forces ensign Mubariz Ibrahimov was killed on June 19 during an armed incident against the Armenian armed forces in the direction of the village Chayli in Terter region (the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh). The Armenian side refused to hand over Ibrahimov's dead body to Azerbaijan. Few days later, the shocking photos of Ibrahimov's dead body were posted on the Internet by Armenians.
