Provocative information about Azerbaijan removed due to Embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany

19 October 2010 [15:55] - TODAY.AZ
According to the embassy of Azerbaijan in Germany, in October of this year the Embassy received information on placing on one of the known tourist sites of Germany (geo-reisecommunity) a provocative material about Nagorno Karabakh. The embassy made investigation and found out that indeed, the site includes information reflecting the position of Armenia in connection with the history of Nagorno Karabakh.

The above-mentioned site is engaged in dissemination of the notes of travelers, historical, archaeological and cultural materials about various regions of the world. One of the travelers, having visited Armenia and the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, has shared his impressions, and the report titled "And now we will talk about the politics" presents the Armenian vision of the history of Nagorno Karabakh and thus gives false information.

In connection with this point the embassy has taken appropriate measures, in particular, the Geo.de GmbH Company leaders were sent a relevant letter in which it was noted that Armenians use this site in the propaganda purposes. The letter brings to their attention the inadmissibility of use of the said resource for the purpose of realization of propagation of the unrecognized separatist regime in Nagorno Karabakh and it was required to undertake corresponding steps to remove the similar facts.

The Company management in the shortest terms has answered the embassy protest, and the provocative information on Nagorno Karabakh was removed. The Company management has sent to the embassy a letter in which has expressed regret in connection with the incident, and has noted that the admitted error was corrected.
