CIS IPA's institute launches trainings for observers in Azerbaijan

The Baku branch of the International Institute for Monitoring the Development of Civil Democracy, Parliamentary System and Electoral Rights will launch trainings for observers in the Azerbaijani regions on Oct.8 , the Institute reported on Saturday.

The institute is part of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly (IPA).

The trainings cover issues such as the rights and obligations of observers, the rules for their behavior, forms of the effective conduct of the supervisory process and fulfillment of items of the legislation in this area.

The first training will be held in Ganja. The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for November 7, 2010. Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 constituencies.
