Azerbaijani deputy foreign minister meets Liechtenstein's top diplomat

The talks focused on how to expand the political, economic and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Liechtenstein and continue the cooperation within international organizations.

The sides praised the bilateral and multilateral cooperation, friendly ties between the two countries, as well as cooperation within international organizations.

Khalafov briefed Ms. Frick on the ongoing economic reforms in his country, regional situation, consequences of Armenia's military aggression against Azerbaijan, OSCE Minsk Group-mediated negotiations to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

He said Azerbaijan-initiated regional and international energy, transport and communication projects serve ensuring sustainable development and stability.

Ms. Frick, in turn, said her country was ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan in economic and cultural spheres and continue ties within international organizations.

Azerbaijan's ambassador to Switzerland with concurrent accreditation to Liechtenstein Murad Najafbayli was present at the meeting.
