Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy organizes training courses for Afghan citizens

Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) and the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) organized 10-day training courses on supremacy of law and good administration for 19 Afghan citizens, ADA sources said.

Executive Dean at the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy Fariz Ismailzadeh addressed the ceremony of certificate presentation and said Afghanistan was passing important historic period of state-building and it was important for Azerbaijan to assist Afghan people, who have close historic and cultural relations with Azerbaijan. Ismailzade said ADA would grant scholarship for 4 Afghan students who were attending the programs of Bachelor and Master of Arts.

GCSP Academic Dean Peter Foot appreciated the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy’s efforts to organize this course and said the program would be carried out every year.

ADA and GCSP professors taught at the training course. They delivered lectures on peace and state-building, analysis and control over the conflicts, communication skills and controlling mechanism of the government. The Afghan students visited historic places of Azerbaijan, including Gobustan, and were informed about the national culture and history of the country.
