October 3 declared as Cooperation Day of Turkic-Speaking Countries

Turkish Foreign Ministry spread information on celebration of October 3 as the Cooperation Day of Turkic-Speaking Countries, APA reports quoting Turkish FM.
Decision on it was passed at the summit of Turkic-speaking country leaders held in Istanbul on September 16. Celebration of October 3 – the Cooperation Day of Turkic-Speaking Countries is related to the signing of decision on establishment of Turkic-Speaking Countries’ Cooperation Council.

“From the next year, Summits will be continued under the title Turkish Cooperation Council Summits. The first continuation of these summits will be organized in 2011 in Kazakhstan and the second in 2012 in Kyrgyzstan”, told Turkish FM.

According to information spread by the ministry, it was also decided at the Istanbul Summit to solemnly celebrate the 20th anniversary of the independence of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in 2011. Moreover, within this framework the Cooperation Day of Turkic-Speaking Countries will be celebrated solemnly in the forthcoming years.

“It is considered to plan the activities that may cover each sphere of social life such as international relations, science, culture, education, to organize contests and institute prizes connected with works which will support the cooperation between our countries”.
